What does this solution provide?
Software consulting and assessment is an independent decision service that clarifies a project's scope, risks and the right roadmap at engineer level, before any code is written. Most software projects struggle not because of bad code but because they start with the wrong scope and wrong order.
This service spells out what should (and more importantly, should not yet) be done, which assumptions are risky until validated, and which step comes first. Decisions are made directly at engineer level, and ownership is taken for them.
The goal is not to obtain a quote but to ask the right questions in the right order: Is this idea technically feasible, do you really need a product or a small tool, should it be built on the existing system or re-architected, and what is the estimated effort and budget for all of it? The output is an actionable assessment that stays with you even if you do not continue with us.
How we work
We run the assessment through a transparent, repeatable process:
- Listening and current state: We discuss the business goal, constraints and any existing system, and understand both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Scope and priority: We separate what is truly needed from what can wait, and draw the first-release (MVP) boundary together.
- Risk and feasibility: We evaluate architectural risks, integration points, data security and technical debt.
- Roadmap: We present a phased, justified plan along with an estimated effort and budget range.
- Handover: We share the findings in writing and verbally, and answer your questions. The decision to proceed is entirely yours.
When is it used?
This assessment is useful across different industries and maturity levels. Typical use cases:
- Startups with an idea but no technical founder, clarifying first-release scope and cost.
- An existing enterprise system (ERP, CRM, field or accounting software) slowing down as it grows, answering the modernization-versus-rewrite question.
- A payment- or security-critical product, evaluating whether the architecture will hold under volume. We bring in our experience working in a high-volume, payment-critical environment.
- Testing whether an artificial intelligence feature will actually create value and what data it needs to be fed.
- An independent technical review before taking over software built by another firm.
Who is it for?
This solution is right when:
- Scope is unclear and where to start is not obvious
- You want to learn an idea's technical feasibility and cost
- You have no technical founder (CTO) and want to make the right calls together
You can go straight to development when:
- Scope is already clear and validated (Software Development)

Why Aforsoft?
A good assessment requires real development experience. We examine scope, risk and the roadmap not to produce a quote, but to ask the right questions in the right order.
Aforsoft has been based in İzmir since 2018, serving clients across Türkiye remotely. Rather than hand you a quick price, we leave you a workable roadmap with the risks already mapped out.
Frequently asked questions
What do I get at the end of the assessment?
Scope clarity, risks and a recommended roadmap; when needed an MVP feature list and an estimated effort and budget range. We deliver all findings in writing. There is no obligation to continue development with us.
Do you credit the assessment fee toward development?
In most cases yes; if you proceed to development we can offset the assessment fee against the project. We clarify the details in conversation.
How long does the assessment take?
It depends on the tier: quick assessment 1-2 days, standard 3-5 days, in-depth 1-3 weeks. A single technical question can be answered the same day via hourly consulting.
Who owns the output?
All reports, scope documents and roadmaps we prepare belong to you. You are free to use them with another developer or team.
Is our data and idea safe?
Yes. We keep the information you share confidential and will sign a non-disclosure agreement on request. We do not record sensitive data and work only with the information needed for the assessment.
Can we work together if I am outside İzmir?
Yes. We run the assessment remotely across Türkiye and abroad. Meetings are held online; no physical presence is required.
Do you also assess integration with our existing system?
Yes. We address integration points, data flow and technical constraints with existing ERP, CRM or other systems as part of the assessment.
Will you review software written by another firm?
Yes. We can perform an independent technical review before a takeover and report on code quality, architectural risk and technical debt with an impartial eye.
Which tier should I start with?
If you are unsure, just share your situation briefly and we will determine the right starting point together. For a single technical topic, hourly consulting is often enough.
Do you also handle the development?
After the assessment we can continue with software development if you wish; if an existing system needs improvement, system modernization may be the right fit.
Not sure where to start? Share your situation briefly and we will determine the right starting point and the suitable assessment tier together.
